We are in need of new siding. We currently have wood siding that is rotting (it's been on since 1951). We had Continental come out for an estimate and they must've thought we were the STUPIDEST people on the planet because the guy tried to tell us that it was going to cost $25.5K to do a tear-off, the new siding and facia (sp?) boards. Seriously, $25,500.00. I should mention that we have a total square footage of 1180, the front of the house isn't sided (some brick and wood something- not siding planks though) and there would only be a few spots where a whole "run" of the seamless siding would even fit. All that to say, we are really needing a reliable company that won't take advantage of us simply because we're young and provides financing. We have also decided against seamless steel because we live in Raytown, and while the area is decent, we won't get our money back on it (per my mom who is a realtor). Anything is going to be an improvement. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I DO NOT recommend Champion Windows and Siding...all their work is contracted out and we had a crew walk off the job because of a dispute they had with Champion. I was very upset because we had waited months to have our siding started. Because this happened we received an upgrade on some steele doors that almost made it worthwile.

We got windows from Blue Springs Siding & Windows and we were VERY happy with them. We had 1 other company bid on the exact same windows and they were $2000 MORE than BSWS. We had 20 windows put in and they had it all done in ONE day! Our neighbors down the street only had about 15 windows put in by another company and they said their crew worked a half day, then would leave, then come back for another half day, then leave for the weekend, etc. Obviously, they weren't very happy with that.
We didn't get siding from BSSW, just the windows, but we were VERY happy with the service (and windows) we got with BSSW, so I would expect they'd be just as good with siding. We've had our windows for just over a year now and haven't had any problems.

The owner is Mike Tulli and he is very nice and knowledgeable-- he even gave me a couple other brands of good windows to check out, even though he doesn't sell those.
