Hubs is making his fantastical fried chicken for dinner tonight. What's your favorite side to go with that? I usually go with potato salad, but I'm not feeling that today. Suggestions?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks so much everyone!! I was thinking mac & cheese but the hubs said he wants baked sweet potatoes & cole slaw. I am also going to try a new recipe I found called Hot Corn but cut the recipe in half & use a can of Rotel instead of a jar of jalapenos. Here's the recipe if anyone's interested:

Thanks again, guys!!

Does your family like sweet potatoes? If so, try mashing some sweet potatoes (I don't peel them, just chop em, steam or boil em and mash with a masher) and then add chopped bacon bits, chopped green onion, butter, salt, pepper and if you like, some shredded cheddar cheese. I liked this so much, I decided it will be the sweet potato dish I will be using for Thanksgiving this year.

Another option: cinnamon sugar apples (slice and peel apples, cook in a frying pan with butter, sugar and cinnamon till soft).

I like cajun red beans and rice with fried chicken. Also homemade mac n cheese or corn on the cob. I also like something cold and crisp like a salad or sliced tomatoes and cucumbers in vingar, salt and pepper. It's good to have something cold and or acidic to cut all the fried and creamy rich stuff.
