Hi Ladies:
I am going to my brothers house for Christmas, and my sister in law, who I like to call the Dip Queen! And not for the reason you may be thinking. She is FANTASTIC at making dips & side dishes. I have the pleasure of bringing the side dish this year to her house. I need a knock your socks off recipe that SHE will ask me for instead of vise versa! I know how to cook, and do a great job at it, so I am no stranger in the kitchen, but my sister in law just always has some great thing to make. So if anyone has a side dish that you care to shre with me, please!!!!
Thnaks, Happy Holidays to all!

What can I do next?

Home made mac & cheese is always a hit at our Thanksgiving dinner. My sister brings it as a side because she doesn't eat the turkey. It's so much better than anything you'd get from a mix.

I also made a cornbread casserole that uses a box of Jiffy mix and a can of corn, can of creamed corn and some other stuff I can send you that if it sounds interesting.

Lastly we get good reviews from our twice baked potato casserole too. It's essentially everything you'd put in a twice baked potato but all in one container instead of separate potatos, so it's easier for a large group.

Not sure if those are fancy enough for what you're looking for. It might depend a little on what they are serving along with it too.

Feel free to email me off list for the full recpies if you're intersted. ____@____.com

I have a "jello"/"sweet" dish called orange fluff (big hit in my family~in fact my mom would probably be hurt if she did not make it =)~ if you want the recipe email me. Also cheesy potatos are another classic hit in our family~again mom would be hurt if not made for c-mas and easter! That one is easy, cook potatos in microwave or oven until mostly done. Let cool, peel and chop into bite sized chunks. While cooling potatos make classic white sauce (found on side of corn starch box) but instead of salt add chicken bouillon and we use regular pepper instead of white pepper, and once done and thickened add velveeta cheese in chunks and melt,in micro or on stove top, into the white sauce. We make our white sauce into cheese sauce all in the micro in an 8 cup pirex measuring cup. We love our large pirex cup!! I highly suggest one for purchase if you do not have one. Pour over chopped potatos and bake in 350 oven for 45-1 hour. You can make this the night before and store in covered pan in the fridge until time to cook. Any questions or the recipe for orange fluff, please email me at ____@____.com!

Taffy Apple Salad is always a big hit. Marshmallow-y and it tastes just like Taffy Apples! Do you have a recipe or shall I dig up mine?
