I have twin girls who have been eating cheese and many other dairy products with no problem but every time I try milk (just a couple ounces with her formula) she vomits after a couple of days. The other twin has been on milk for three months now. I don't have any answers but just wanted to say you are not alone. Let me know if you come up with anything.

EIther he's not ready for milk or he's allergic. No more until you talk to or see the doctor.

Yes, they could have a milk allergy or intolerance but you don't say how long your little one has been drinking milk, or whether it is whole milk? Does she get hives or any other kinds of allergic reaction. Has this happened more than two times? Has she been sick recently - stuffy nose or cold?

Probably a call to her pediatrician is warranted.

Good luck.

if it only happens after they drink milk i would assume that your child is intolerant to milk

Hi A.,
Sorry to hear that. Maybe your child is showing a reaction to milk. Please, consider seeing the following short movie:

IMHO you should present her with nut milk. I would chose almond milk it's so easy to make your own since the one in the stores always contains a lot of sugar. If you chose soy please read here:

Hope this can help with ideas.

I have afew questions: Were your child getting breatfeed for the first 12 months of his life? If sho I would suggested that u introduce whole milk slowly! Make sure you pay close attention to him/her because he/she could get allergic!!!

My daughter had the same problem. I gave her soy or rice milk and kept nursing her. The problem is there's not much fat in soy or rice milk, so I also used soy formula. When she turned 2, she still couldn't handle whole milk but 2% was okay. Yogurt and other milk products didn't seem to be a problem, but I bought the soy yogurt anyway.
