I love that the ad for this hose is now at the bottom of the page here on Mamapedia!
I wonder if I mention I love Women's shoes if that will pop up?
I am also looking for a new Handbag.
And want a discount Vacation.
Looking for reviews of those garden hoses that are supposed to shrink when the water is off and expand when the water is on. I need something like that but wanted to talk with Mamas and Papas that might have had some experience with them before I buy. Thank you!!

LOVE LOVE mine... it doesn't get knotted up or bend like the older bulky one.. nor is it as heavy... the old one was a pain to unravel and put away.. with this new one, turn on the water............. and bam. it's ready to go.. turn off the water..... shrinks and you hang it back up.. it's so light, I just love it!!! wish I didn't wait so long to get it... My husband bought it for me at either Home Depot or Lowes.. try one, if you don't like it, they will take it back..
We have 4 and they do work well. We have a very large yard with retaining walls.
We got ours at Home Depot and saved the receipt just in case. We purchased them in late April and as of yesterday, we have taken 2 back to Home Depot for replacement due to a leak where the hose has popped when it hit some stones on the retaining wall. EACH time we had an issue, it was from reeling them back in and when they hit something the right way on one of the walls and sprung a leak.
We continue to use them, just save your receipt and Home Depot will give you a replacement at no cost.
Around here there are $20 each and they have come in very handy because they are SO much easier than lugging 200ft of those heavy hoses. We are still happy with our purchase.
I have one and it works well and is easy to keep put away (I keep it at my short term rental). I don't leave it out in the sun or exposed to the weather so I have never needed to replace it.
We bought O. years ago and it sprang a leak the 2nd day.
My mom
Has O. and she loves it. It's 2 years old.
Save the receipt - just in case!
Bought two, broke two. Back to regular hoses for our house.
The only person I know that has them has to keep buying new ones every month or so because they rupture easily. As others have pointed out some stores will keep replacing them but I would find that annoying.
Thanks for posting this - I never heard of these! I want to check them out too!
I'd check Consumer Reports. I'm guessing they work fine when they are new, but may well kink up more as the material becomes older, is exposed to minerals in the water, or bakes in the sun! So I'd suggest you ask people how LONG they have used them and look at the value that way!
A) Buy it from Bed Bath and Beyond (if it breaks, you can return it without a receipt)
B) you can't leave out in the sun, so you constantly have to unhook it
C) Not sure it will work with a rain tractor (so, I haven't bought one yet)
They are wonderful until they rupture. I've had three, and all three ruptured in a very short time. All I used them for was my covered porch pots. They were lightly and gently used. Brilliant concept but very shoddy craftsmanship.
