a little red Wagon or maybe a stuffed Whale or a book about whales. I didnt know they did it by letters, I think its a good idea - get the kids Really thinking about it instead of just bringing in there favorite toy.

Good Luck :-)

I would totally do the gummy worms that Denise suggested and if your school is cool with it bring one for each kid.

Lots of good ideas already!

wipes
wig
windex
watch
Weebles (toy)
witch (if school is OK with that, some aren't--demon worship etc)
white (color; bring it a white paper, etc)
washcloth
windshield wiper
whip (if school is OK with that)
whipped cream
wire
wire whisk (for whipping the cream-lol!)
wine bottle (if school is OK with that)
wing (airplane, bird)
walker (borrow from grandparents?)
can he wink? wiggle? waltz? walk? he could show that

Good luck and have fun!

You can make a little project with your child and help her/him create a 'Wish Box' and he/she can share top 5 'Wishes' in his/her life. You can use a shoe box and decorate it with the word, "Wishes," or perhaps, "My Wish Box" or "Box of Wishes." Cut a little slot in the center of the lid like a piggy bank for your child to slip wishes inside the box that he or she has written down on note cards.

Watermelon - buy a personal sized one
Walkman- if you have a old one laying around. Kids wouldn't know what these were - the precurser to the IPOD.
Willy Wonka - do you have a book on this story
Wolly Worm - you should be able to find plenty this time of year
Watering can - should have if you do any gardening or can borrow from a neighbor
Word search - puzzle

This should help

What about water - you could do the "water hurricane" where you take 2 2liters, fill one just under half full and then tape the tops together. You flip upside down and start swirling it and it creates a hurricane in the bottles..... not sure of your childs age, but could be pretty neat if it isn't something they've seen before.

Love the Wooly Bear caterpillar idea. They are so cute and I think this is the time of year for them!
