My period have not been on in 6 months! I know that I am not pregnant because I had a tubal 3 weeks ago. My cycles have always been irregular but have never went this long without coming on. I love the fact that it havent been on. I've been freeeee! No cramps, wear whatever I want and dont have to deal with pads. Ladies you know how it is. But should I be worried?

What can I do next?

I am sorry, but this is one of those questions that we can not answer as we are not medical professionals - consult your doctor.

I had my youngest son in March 2010. Didn't have a period for a whole year(I didn't breast feed) It should have came sooner. It did not. I went in they gave me prov-era (spelling) I had to take it over a year every there months ten pills. My periods still didn't some. So finally at the beginning of this year 2012 It started. I have been keeping better track and have found my cycle length is about 40 day instead of the normal 28. I think I worried too much and that's why it took so long to come back but then again I have no clue. I'm sure in time Aunt flow will return.

I would have to say, if I didnt have a period for 6 months, yes I would be worried and would seek professional advice from my doctor.

I posted an almost exact question. I saw the doc about my absent periods. Nothing was amiss and everything looked good. She was worried that no periods for an extended time puts me at risk for uterine cancer (which I have a strong family history of). Anyway, I took that awful med too, and it just made a big ol' mess. Now I am back on a dry spell. I have to admit that it's TOTALLY AWESOME! lol
Maybe I will just remove my question and read your answers.

Depending on your age... perimenopause or menopause if you go for year with no period.

Also, your surgery may have something to do with it too. Horomones can be disrupted. As others have said, talk to your gyno.

are you really skinny?.. i know someone who lost a ton of weight.. tp the point of being like a twig lol but they stopped getting their period regularly, went to the doctor and she said it was because she was a little underweight and it was effecting her hormones and unless she gained 5-10lbs or got on the pill to regulate it it would continute to be irregular.. she didnt get it for 3 months at one point n then only had it for 2 days n then went another 2 before she got it again
