I didn't feel my baby until I was almost 6 months along...so I wouldn't worry about it! Chances are that once you do feel her she won't leave you alone!! :) Good Luck!
i am 21 weeks this past wednesday and I haven't really felt any significant movement. I THINK I might have felt flutters, but who knows if its in my head. Through your experience - is this normal? Should I feel alarmed?
I guess I should have had some patience. I feel her every now and then .. so maybe its just more fat she has to kick through.. I have had so many problems sleeping b/c apparently she's on a nerve and I get in the bathtub to run hot water on my hands and arms and then I feel her kicking like crazy... thank you all for your advice and words.

This is your second child typically you would start feeling movement earlier than you did the first time around. However, 21 weeks is still early, don't be alarmed if you don't feel anything right away, give it a couple of weeks, and pay close attention after you eat or drink something for movement.
if you have a two and a half year old, rest assured you probably don't feel the new baby because you are far to busy chasing your toddler! I've barely noticed I'm even pregnant this time around and I'm almost 7 months!
When in doubt get checked. I swear that is what saved my baby. I was not feeling her move. I was a bit father than you. I went to the hospital on Saturday because I though that it was weird that I did not feel her moving. They kept me over night because her heart rate kept going up and down. Sunday came. Thought that I was going to go home... Wrong. The babies heart rate dropped in 1/2 and I ended up having an emergency c-section. Had her an hour after they her heart dropped. She was premature (7 weeks). 3 lbs. Healthy now :). She still is very small. But the end result if I did not get checked the likely hood of her survival was very slim. Get checked and double checked if you need to. This was my second baby as well and I have been told and noticed that I felt the second baby sooner. I can not stress enough to Listen to Your body.
Let us know how you do. If you need any advice please let me know.
Thanks

I am personally at 17 weeks and have felt minimal twitching here and there. Not frequent at all. I had my OB appointment on Friday and they had no concerns about that. I also started out overweight and I think that makes it a little harder to feel earlier.
If you are worried, you can call your OB for them to listen for the heartbeat or do an ultrasound.
Good luck!
You're probably just worried, like we all do, but again, just pay attention after you eat - and lay on your left side and see if you feel anything during that half hour to an hour after eating. Did you have your 20 week sono yet? And never feel like you shouldn't check with your doctor, like you're just paranoid or bothering them. If you're really worried, just call and get checked with their doppler or sono. Best wishes!!
Hello D.
I think you should check w your doctor....I don't want to scare you, but my sis, went to the same thing and we all thaugh it was normail, she didn't call the doctor, and it was like a week beafor her regular checkup and she lost the baby.
The baby was all ready dead inside her.....that's why she didn't feel anything.
I don't want tobe negative, but just to make sure you should make an appoitment.
Best wishes for you
