No shoes until they start to walk instead of crawl or scoot. But if it is winter then get them Robeez to keep their feet warm. I find "crib shoes" and other shoes/sandals for babies extremely irritating.
I've heard so many different things with that subject. Does a baby learn to walk better with shoes or without them? Your opinions would be appreciated :)

A baby needs to feel the floor in order to learn to walk. No shoes. They learn more easily and quickly without the shoes.
No shoes until they are walking pretty steadily.
My doc says no shoes, and I agree with him!
My doctor says "no shoes."
My son did best going barefoot.
He didn't need shoes till he was walking outside a lot.
No shoes. Robeez slippers are great leather moccasins that will protect their feet and keep them warm, but are like being barefoot.
Shoes for babies are decorations....and ones that never stay on by the way. :p
The only reason my daughter wore shoes was because she would not keep her socks on and her feet were cold and she had a weird thing where she was happier with her feet covered instead of bare. I always put soft leather sole kinds like Robeez or similar store brands.
Solid sole shoes are only needed once they are walking on their own and going to be walking around outside and need the protection from anything they might step on. Otherwise they are bad for their feet.
no shoes. I do agree with the robeez shoes though. Stride rite also has shoes that have the soft soles for pre walkers as well.
No shoes. They learn better when they have no shoes, unless walking outside to protect their feet. At least you save money this way. :)
Without.
it allows their toes to grip the floor.
Definitely better without, so whenever you are home or somewhere safe and inside, barefoot is best. If you're at the park or in public, you want shoes with a very thin and flexible sole. The more she can feel the ground, the better.
Shoes are unnecessary for babies until they are walking steadily.
I bought my kids walking shoes from stride rite but they learned to walk while bare feet. They just wore the shoes when we went out places.
no shoes or soft bottomed shoes only
Bare feet. Shoes when you go out. Stride Rite first walkers are the best.
