I would just vacuum out the car really well. I think that should be fine.
So I am waiting on my car at the doctor's office last week.
It was 5pm and dark outside, as I am waiting I started to chat with an older woman who told me she had been at the office since 9am and she was just leaving.
She told me she had been waiting a while for her cab to come so I offered to drop her off at home, which I found out was not far at all. As we approached her senior apartment complex I commented on how nice the building was and she proceeded to tell me that it is nice however she just got over an issue with bed bugs!
I have read a few articles on the bugs I do know if you come in contact at someone's home than they you are!
I helped her out of the car wished her well and told her I was happy to have dropped her off but I cannot help but think what are the chances of her having left a few in the car? Yes she said had an issue but here goes my what if...
Anyone had an issue with bed bugs that came from somewhere else?

I think the odds are rather small that you have any unknown guests in your car or on your clothing. They hide from the light and doubtful they were hiding in the clothing she put on before she left home that morning--if she even still has any in her apartment. (she did say that she just GOT OVER an issue, not that she HAS an issue). And even with the remote possibility that she did have a bug on her person, it likely would have removed itself to the furnishings of the doctor's office after that length of time sitting there.
Gross and creepy, but the reality is that the bugs only come out to feed, then hide in the bedding, the mattresses, the support boards, the carpet, etc during daylight hours. By the time she got up, she probably wouldn't have had anymore. They get transported (for instance from a hotel or as a guest at someone's home) by you having something for them to hide in (a suitcase, clothing you slept in, etc) packed up and brought home.
It stands to reason that it always comes from someplace else. I haven't seen them and it's GROSS. I hope I never see them so long as I live.
I would vaccum out the car, but I think you'll be fine. Like other posters have said, she spent so many hours at the doctor's office that anything she had she probably left there.
I have never had an issue with bed bugs, but my neice got a mattress once that had them. Those little beggars ate her alive. She looked like she had been in a horrible accident!
Lesson learned - no used mattresses!
