Does anyone know where I can find affordable sewing lessons, I want to learn how to read patterns work a sewing machine and such. Without having to do a full degree in fashion design just looking for some continuing education classes. In the Bolingbrook region, thank you.

A friend of mine a couple of blocks away teaching sewing in her home. She has a total room dedicated to it. We live on the SW side of Naperville, if the location would work for you, contact me back and I will give you her contact information. ( Book & 95th area) not too far from Bolingbrook.

I just saw Sewing classes offered in the Naperville Park District Fall Program Guide. You do need your own sewing machine.

JJC has sewing classes- pretty sure classes are held at Romeoville campus. Non-credit classes.

JJC does offer classes in their non credit section, specific for adults. Also, Romeoville Park District offers a class and their fall registration is coming up in early September. You can check with the Rec Center ###-###-####

Every JoAnn Fabrics store has classes- check their schedule. I have been trying to do it for a couple of years, but with two kids, it's been tough. Good luck- they are very affordable.
