In the past 24 hours, I noticed that my seven month old daughter is throwing up milk through her nose. (Twice now) Its not a lot of milk, but I am still concerned.

Is it possible I am overfeeding her? Is this normal?

What can I do next?

Have you eaten something that you wouldn't usually? It could be a reaction to something in your milk, something she's got an intolerance to.

My boys have done this before as have I. It happens when someone throws up so forcefully that it can't come out of their mouth fast enough. Your nose & mouth connect at the back of your throat.
Now if she is not throwing up through her mouth I would call your dr. & ask. Maybe it is reflux. Until then use a nose asperator & suck the milk from her nose after she does it.

God bless!

Normal. I've thrown up liquids thru my nose both when I've been leaning over knowing I'm about to vomit and when I've been laughing and "choke" on what I'm drinking. My grandchildren do the same.

Liquid will go up and out our nose when we close off our air pipe and get the esophagus closed at the same time. It's possible, that at 7 months her muscles aren't well coordinated yet. Does this happen when she sneezes, coughs or laughs, or begins to cry while drinking? Is she beginning to use a cup or sippy cup? All of those would cause the milk to come out her nose.

Our noses are self cleaning. You don't have to aspirate the milk out or rinse out the nose. Just give it a good wipe.

This is nothing to worry about.
