Avo, onion, tomato, fresh garlic, fresh chopped jalapeno, salt, pepper, lemon juice- chunky is better!
How do you like yours? How do you make yours? I like mine nice n' simple - garlic salt & lime juice are the only things I add. Please share your recipes if you feel so inclined!
Mmm!!! I love that everyone has their own way of doing it. Think I might try to spice it up soon - you ladies have inspired me!!

I can't remember how much mayo.... (sorry, white people joke, I was on e asked by my friend to bring guacamole to a party that was all Latin except me, and everyone was nervous to try my guacamole at first, so I just blinked innocently and told them 'Dont worry, I used lots of mayo.' Hehehe. ;)

Simple and basic and chunky. Avocado, red onion, tomato, salt, lime juice.
Whatever you do you must start with an avocado that actually tastes like an avocado. Creamy, avocado pureness. We like naked guacamole which showcases the avocado - mashed avocado, fresh squeezed lime, salt and pepper. A twist of orange is a nice note. We eat it on toast, corn or flour tortillas or with chips. The first two options make a lovely breakfast.
At the peak of the season we'll eat whole avocados right of the skins with a topping - chili con queso, fresh ranch dressing, fresh bleu cheese, lime juice with salt and pepper, whatever makes you happy.
My husband is allergic to garlic and I don't like it - especially raw - so my guacamole is avocados, onion powder, salt, pepper, a little lime juice, a good spoonful of mayo and a handful of fresh cilantro. Yum.
Love guacamole! I use fresh avocado, lime juice, a little salsa, garlic or garlic power, salt, jalapeño juice, and either some pico de gallo OR chopped tomato and chopped onion and dashed of hot sauce.
Yucatan sunshine is my favorite!
Avocado & garlic with a little chopped red onion. I also add a splash of orange juice with the lime juice and like coarse sea salt best.
Avocado, tomato, garlic, sea salt, onion, lime juice, and cilantro!
I like it every which way. Two ways we have made ours, liking both:
1. In a bowl, add avocado 'meat', grilled jalepenos with the skin peeled off, grilled tomatoes, cilantro. Mash all with the bottom of a plastic cup. Add salt. Enjoy.
2. In a bowl, add avocado meat, minced red onion, diced red and/or green bell pepper, diced tomatoes, minced jalepenos, a little lime juice, cilantro, salt. Mash and stir with a fork.
In my college days, I did the shortcut way - mash the avocados, add some fresh salsa (not Paces! We like Clint's, but I think he's sold in Texas only). Stir, add salt and/or lime. Enjoy
Jason Mraz, the singer, owns an avacado farm. I saw an interview with him on some talk show and he brought the host a sample of his favorite avacado dishes and one of them was chocolate avacado. The host said it was the richest, creamiest dessert she ever had. I don't have the recipe but I'm sure you can find it online.
I am with you all the way. A lot of garlic. A lot of salt. A lot of lime juice. Mashed up so it's still chunky. Nothing else is needed IMO!
Avacado-mashed, roma tomatoes- seeded and diced, red onion- finely chopped, cilantro, lime juice and salt and pepper to taste!
My husband makes the best... fresh avocado, red onion, garlic, lemon juice and roasted salsa. Where are the chips??? Mmmmm....
Red onion, tomato, salt, lime.
I have 3 avocados in the kitchen...oh yeah!!
oooo, such yummy ideas! can't wait for my next avocado!
i generally just add lime juice, some chopped sweet onions, salt and pepper, and if i'm in the mood some roasted tomatoes.
last night on 'sweet genius' they had to make cake using avocados. my boys were squicked out, but i was entranced. avocado and chocolate are a natural.

I make it a couple of different ways, but simple. Avocado, garlic powder, lots of lime, and Louisiana hot sauce. Depending on what I'm eating it on/with, I'll add some sour cream to make it smoother.
I make it all the time for lunch just using half an avocado.
I add:
salt, cumin, garlic, chives, little lime/lemon juice
If I have on had I add cut up tomatoes, cilantro
And a little bit of parmesan cheese
I like mine simple as well, salt, lime juice, and a bit of heat thrown in. It can be chunky or smooth depending on what I'm using it for. It never will have onions, tomatoes or cilantro in it. That to me is an abomination. :P
My family used to have an avocado farm so I am particular about the variety of avo... fuertes being my fav, but I rarely see any that taste as good as ours used to. But I do simple too.... salt, lime, and Mexi pep/ Trappys hot sauce (its a little vinegery which I like).
Hmmmm - makes me want some for supper tonight ! I just use avocado, salsa, lemon juice, garlic powder, & salt - all to taste. So good !
Mash up the avocado meat, sweet vidalea onion, mayo, wiestersheir (sp) sauce, salt and pepper. Yum Yum!!!!
My secret to super creamy guacamole is to add about a teaspoon of mayonnaise before you add all the other ingredients. I usually just smash up the avocado add the mayo and then add some salsa. Easy peasy.
love the spicy one at chili's. it has avocado, red onion and fire roasted corn. yummmm
