I like the Neutrogena spray, easy and quick to apply, and Jergens is good too.
OK-while we're on the subject of getting ready for summer w/all the lotion talk I thought I'd throw my question out there. We talked about Mystic tan last week. But I'm wondering about all the self tanners (drug store or otherwise) that are out there. Which one is the best quality and best price? Is there one that is really good without the funky after smell? If you know what I mean!!? They all seem to have a really weird smell after a few hours. We're going to the beach soon and I'm wanting to get some color, but I've stopped tanning booths and getting a sun tan a few years ago. It's not worth the damage to my skin. But now I'm wanting to find a self tanner that's not too expensive, but will look good.
What's your thoughts on this?
Thanks much!!
A.

Yep, it's that time of year! I asked this same question just a few weeks ago! lol I don't remember the websites now but at that time, I googled it and came across a few really good sites that compared all the products. Based on what I found, I bought the Coppertone light to medium. I've only used it a couple of times on my legs only to test it. It's ok, but doesn't seem to last very long. But I had to reply to another post you recevied about Fake Bake. I had totally forgotten about it. My sister gave me some a couple of years ago and at that time, it was really hard to find. But I loved it! Now that I know where it is I will try to get out and get some of it. It was the most realistic looking color on me of any that I've tried so far. If it's still as good as I remember it then, then it's worth it to find it. Let us know what you come up with. I think it's all trial & error and since our skin types are all so different, what works for one may not for another. Good luck and happy safe tanning!
I prefer the Neutrogena spray. You can apply as much or as little as you need.
Hi A., Over the years I have tried so many self tanners because I am so white and want to avoid tanning. I seem to come back to one type and brand because of the performance , look and price. It is made by Banana Boat and it is the Dark Shade. Do not be afraid to buy because it is Dark. I have tried the other shades in this brand, and they were nothing to brag about. I've also found that after I apply this to both legs and body that I go over lightly with my favorite lotion. It finishes it off better and I never have any lines! Good Luck
I use Fake Bake and Xen-Tan. Both are awesome! You can buy Xen-Tan at Nordstrom and I usually get my Fake Bake at Sephora. They are both more olive toned and so the tan looks soooooooo real and natural. Try one of them. They are the best that I have seen and I have tried a lot!!!
Hi A.,
I know what you mean, most self tanners have a bad odor or look orange. I was never a self tanner person, until I started using Arbonne's self tanner. It is a TRUE tan and does not have a bad odor! It doesn't come off on your clothes, can be used on your face, is easy to apply and has an SPF of 15. I can't say enough good things about it!
You will love it, guaranteed.
I am a representative of Arbonne and would love to get you one to try. Just let me know!
Thanks,
J.
I like Jergens. No orange fake look, no gross smell and doesn't come off if you're working out or playing sports.
It was sold out for awhile last summer because of all the hype about it. It's about $6
