Carinos is great for rehearsals. They have the room to the right side of the restaurant you can use. Good luck!
Hi ladies!
I am getting married next month and we still don't have the venue for the rehearsal dinner. The rehearsal is going to be at 3PM on a Friday in Denton so we could do a lunch or a dinner. Any suggestions on a cheap venue? My fiance and I are paying for it and our budget is already stretched. We also both have small apartments so having something at home is not an option. Thanks for you help!

We had our rehearsal dinner at Spring Creek BBQ. They have a separate room that does not cost anything and for the food we gave people a ticket that was worth $10 I think and if they ordered anything over that they had to cover the cost. It worked out really well and was not that expensive.
We had our rehearsal dinner at spaghetti warehouse. It was very reasonable. We picked a cute them and decorated a little with that. We decorated in Teddy Bears as my son had a favorite one when he was little. We used balloons and small table arrangements. We had some key people talk about their experiences with the couple. It was fun for everyone. The Bride and Groom gave small gifts to everyone, and spent a few minutes with each telling how much that person meant in their life. It was good and the food was good.
The Smokehouse on Ft. Worth Dr. has a room for parties. We did ours there and it was very reasonably priced, great food. They made a short menu with a few different options for our guests. We paid for a certain number of beers and the guests paid for any more than that. They let us come in early to decorate, we did a rustic kind of theme since it's a bar-b-que joint. It was a great dinner. I think I paid around $400 for my total bill plus a big tip for the waitress that took care of us all night. I don't know how many people we had there, maybe 35 or 40.
Congrats on your nuptials.
The Merlot Room in Grapevine is about $50.00 per hour. It's attached to the fire station and is basically a big room. You'd still need to have it catered, but it might work for you. You could stick to finger sandwiches (easy to do your self if you are so inclined - use an electric knife to cut the sandwiches into triangles and cover with damp paper towels until you need it.) veggie trays, etc.
First of all congrats on the upcoming nuptuals! My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at Neals in Lake Dallas. It is an Italian restaurant by the lake that has amazing food. They have a room that is private for such occations and you can bring your own wine/beer if you so choose which cuts back on cost.

Just as a side note: my husband is currently in school at Parker College of Chiropractic. He is just finishing up his 5th Trimester and is loving it. Chiropractic has made a huge improvement in our lives! Best of luck with your practice!!!
I'm not sure about pricing, but Sweetwaters (off the square in Denton...I think on Elm St.) is a GREAT little restaurant! Casual atmosphere and good food.
I don't know that any are more economical than others but some nice Denton venues include:
Fremaux's Metropolitan Catering (did a great job w/my son's rehearsal dinner) www.metropolitancatering.com
Grand Traditions off I-35 in Corinth www.grandtraditions.net
I don't know how many people you'll have, but several Denton restaurants have private dining rooms that might accomodate: The Greenhouse, Hannah's, El Guapo, Guiseppe's are a few.
Good luck and every blessing to you and your fiance!
