Seeking Toddler Friendly Church Service in NE Long Beach Area

I'd like to start bringing my 2 year old to church. Can anyone recommend a church with a family-friendly service? I was raised Catholic, but I'm willing to check out other demoninations if they have a good service that will hold my daughter's interest. We're in NE Long Beach, so Cypress, Los Alamitos, and Lakewood are all nearby. I'd prefer not to drive more than 20 minutes one way. Thank you!

What can I do next?

I am a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Long Beach (on Stearns between Palo Verde & Studebaker). We're a small church with diverse ages, but one big, happy family. My children were baptized there and have been attending worship services since. Although child care is offered, we are welcomed and encouraged to include them in worship. There is even a children's message before the sermon. It has traditional liturgy, which may make you feel comfortable being you were raised Catholic. However, the two services have different music and formats to fit different styles. There is Sunday School for children beginning at age 3, stepping stone classes also beginning at age 3, and there's a Faithful Families group (a fellowship group for families with children elementary age and younger). I encourage you to experience the wonderful, family environment of Christ Lutheran Church! If you come, feel free to ask someone for me. I'd love to meet and welcome you.

Hi,
My family and I go to Parkcrest, it's at Woodruff and Carson. We love it! Check out the website. We have four different service times with one of them on Saturday night.
Good luck in your search!

My family and I go to Bethany Lutheran Church in Long Beach (corner of Clark Ave. and Arbor Rd.). Both of my kids have been going to church since they were born. Sometimes they make noise and other times they are very good. Trying to get a toddler to sit for an hour very quiet is not realistic, so our members accept that kids are kids. We have three services on Sun. morning 8, 9:30, & 11:55. There is also an evening service at 6pm. Sunday School hour starts at 9:30 and there is a class for 2-3 year olds. We love it here, so check out Bethany's website www.bethanylutheran.org.
God's blessings in your search!
