Seeking to Make Some Extra Money to Help Pay the Bills

We got into a pinch in the last year or so. I finally got a job at a church preschool 2 days a week. I was only looking to bring in a couple hundred a month, but didn't want to lose my evenings and had a child home with me 3 days a week so anything during the day would have required child care. He was going to preschool the other 2 days a week. So, once I got a job at the preschool he attended, I started bringing in about $300 a month, plus, his tuition was free which saved us even more money (and I no longer could spend an hour at Hobby Lobby or Walmart by myself spending money I didn't need to spend after dropping him off :). It has been the perfect answer to our prayer. I get to make a little money, still have my evenings and weekends with my family, and I'm only working when they are gone anyway. I get to see my oldest boy off to school and I'm home about 20 minutes before he gets home. So many bonuses, not to mention it's a really fun job too!

Rachel had a GREAT idea!!Working at the childrens pre-school, or elementary school is great way to make extra money. I would also suggest trying to make your Mary K. business work. Try advertising in new ways, and selling product by using a referral program with your existing customers. If you know people that use electricity, you could always try my business, it can be quite lucrative; but I would suggest trying to make your own business work first. Now make that money girl!! My daughter worked at a church's Mother's Day Out so it was 3 days a week from about 9a-3p. Her child got to go for very little too so no childcare involved. When she needed more money than that, she added in some part time nanny work for a woman that worked from home because she had a high risk pregnancy and had a toddler. The mother's at the MDO program referred her for that job so she developed awesome references.

In the meantime, you can think about whether there is something you can make that is unique and sell it on the internet. The internet has a craft site where you can show a picture and sell it. Perhaps something that would be a very hot Christmas item. Talk about tax breaks! Or, I just read about mom's making decorated homecoming mum's and they are now selling them at many Walgreens. They are cheaper than buying them from a florist so they are a hot commodity. "Charity Drabik, owner of Texas Mums and Mum's the Word started it and many working mom's make them." They sell to almost every city in the metroplex and beyond.
