I wonder if anyone knows of chemical-free sunscreens that are zinc- and/or titanium-based that do not stay white after they are applied. My daughter likes Coppertone Baby, but I don't want to use it on her skin since it is absorbed, but she does not like the kinds that stay white, she immediately wants me to wash it off and cries. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi J.. I use California Baby SPF18 no-fragrance sunscreen on my 4, 2, & 7 mo old. It is titanium dioxide-based, but doesn't stay white. I love the pump dispenser and that it doesn't sting eyes. Pricey, but worth it to me.
i really also like california baby. another good one is made by melaleuca. www.melaleuca.com. its a 30 spf and is also based on one of the 2 chemicals. i forgot which one, sorry. good luck!

Earth's Best by Jason is okay, but does stay more white.
We are currently using Baby Lizard Baby and love it, it rubs in great! So far the only place I have found the Baby Lizard as opposed to just Blue Lizzard is CVS. It is in a pink tube, but in looking online they apparently also have a bottle as well.
Have you looked at Blue Lizard? Google it- we just started using it per Ped's suggestion.
J., YOu have to really read the labels on the products you are using on yourself and your babies. Sunscreens are notorious for having way too many harmful chemicals that you want to avoid. I use a sunscreen that does not leave your skin white,does not contain harmful chemicals does not burn the kids eyes, and lasts pretty long. It is called Sunbrero #40.
