I'm looking for sewing classes, either in a group or individual. I have a basic knowledge, but I still have a lot to learn! So if you know of anything, I'd love to hear about it!

Thanks to everyone for their responses! I was able to find a few classes at Joann's, and altough they are not continuing, they'll give me a jumpstart!

I'm looking for a sewing class in Oak Park or Chicago as well. I know that Joann Fabric stores around the city and suburbs tend to have them. I'm a SAHM of a 5 year old and would love to learn to sew.

I'm pretty sure the Michael's or the Jo-Ann Fabric's in N. Riverside offers sewing lessons. They are right next door to each other in the plaza at the SW corner of Harlem and 22nd.

Hi, I'm A.! Have you tried the Park District. My niece began sewing in the the Chicago Park District and went on to Columbia College for Fashion.
I know the Singer shop on Harlem near Irving park has classes. I have never taken one there but my neighbor has.
