Personally I love Dance Theatre. When I first moved here from NY I tried Dynasty for my then 3 year old. I found the owner to be ruthless on all children. It is a highly competitive dance school and the owner expected excellence from everyone no matter how old they were. The following year I tried Dance Theatre and found an excellent school. All of the instructors are extremely caring. You are able to watch your children on a television screen so you are not distracting them during class. The owner is a true professional. Michelle always puts the kids first. The girls who compete are excellent performers and are happy that they are dancing. I was disappointed when after two years at Dance Theatre my daughter chose not to dance but after a year hiatus she has asked to go back to Dance Theatre.
I teach at and have been with the Rock-ette Dance Academy in Margate (2922 North State Road 7) for 30 years. This is our 30th year in Margate. We have a caring, family like atmosphere. The teachers have education degrees and also teach at the local schools. Also, you mention you are from New York, the founding teacher had a studio in New York- she has since sold it- but is still in contact with the new owner.
My daughter dances there as well and she is 3 1/2. For your daughter's age we have a combination tap/ballet class. The class is 1 hour a week. The rate is $55 a month plus a one time registration fee of $15(Hint: if you get the Money Mailer or Super Saver catalogue- there is a coupon for free registration). The class starts on Wednesday, August 20th and is at 5:00-6:00.
Our fall registration is August 13,14 and 15th from 4-7 p.m. You can call or come by on any of those days if you want to meet the teachers, see the studio or get any more information.

I would highly recommend Dance Theatre. My daughter started last fall at 3yrs old and just loved it. The owners, Randy & Michelle are wonderful people. Randy's brother Mike handles the finances and he's great too---
