Seeking Recommendation for Lasik

I went to the Kirk Eye Center in River Forest on Lake Street a few years ago. Dr. Kent Kirk was great! I haven't had any problems and am very happy I did this because contacts are one less hassle now that I have a little one. I thought they had great technology and I really like the idea of being close to home. Also, Dr. Kirk called me after my surgery to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. This was great one on one attention.

I went to Dr. Macsai at Glenbrook South Hospital. Great experience start to finish.

I saw the folks at Rush University for a free pre-op visit that was comprehensive and very helpful. The visit lasted over an hour. I am saving up for the procedure, which will cost $4000 out of pocket for me. I know that there are other docs in the area who offer less costly alternatives, but I have heard good things about Dr. Rubenstein and his team. Northwestern Memorial offers the same procedure for the same price, maybe $100 difference. They also have a great reputation. Here is the RUSH contact info:

My husband had his at the Kraff Institute, specifically with Dr. Coleman Kraff. It's downtown, and they've pioneered a lot of the developments in the field. It went well, and he was extremely happy with both the process and the result.
