So What Happened?

Well, I just got a whiff of how small my paychecks are going to be because of my maternity leave... therefore I may be in the market for a private or "in home" setting for one or both of my boys.

Congratulations for your new arrival. how wonderful!
I don't know of any preschool facilities, but I do know of a wonderful in home daycare in Florissant.

Her name is Laura Lenix ###-###-####) and she was wonderful with my son (I took him there when he was 3 months old) she then moved up North and I could no longer use her.
she is wonderful. It might be worth looking into.
Good luck.

Arlington Care & Learn on McKelvey has a daycare/preschool. They are very reasonably priced compared to other daycares in the area. Also, the people there are just wonderful. I am a mom of a 4 1/2 yr old and we have been there since my son was 6 mos old. The number is ###-###-#### ext 16.

I don't have a place for you to go, but I can tell you who not to go to, there is a place called Strawberry something, an old friend of mine, who contacts me every now and then just to catch up, works there (she has a few issues, that is why we are not close anymore) everytime I talk to her she complains about how they don't pay her when they are supposed to (which is her problem for staying, but it shows bad business) and this is the worst part they have her "boyfriend" as the van driver, he used to sell drugs and has 5 kids, besides the 2 they have, by 4 different women not counting her, and he doesn't pay child support for any of them, he has been arrested more times than I can count, and unless they thought he was perfect for the job because he has produced enough of them to keep a daycare running he has no other qualifications to be around kids... so do not take your son there, if they hired him, I can only imagine what other kind of people they have there.

Try Playtime Learning Center ###-###-####). It's on Fee Fee Road. Where the Steak N Shake is at Lindbergh and Old St. Charles Rock Road. You go left behind the Steak N Shake, 2 stop signs. At the second stop sign to your right is a white building with a green roof. That's it. It was a brand new building when I took my oldest daughter there and I just recently started my two year old there. They're very nice and the building is always clean. The only downfall - I believe it's very hard to get infants into. Four your 4 yr. old it would be $90/wk assuming he's potty trained. Good luck in your search.

My two-year-old has been going to Mother's Day Out in St. Charles (about ten minutes from Bridgeton) for a year, and we love it. They've also got a preschool. Here's a little bit more info: http://fumcstcharles.org/Preschool_MDO/index.htm
