Having health insurance is so expensive I know what you mean.
I am a SAHM now and we just couldn't afford it.
If you can't afford insurance there are some options you might look into. There is the state insurance you can try for
Medicaid/Chip program - see below for more info. http://www.chipmedicaid.org/english/apply.htm
A friend of mine had CHIP and it was only a small amount they paid for health insurance its a part of no child left with no health insurance for TX. But you can only apply for the kids unless your PG.
Another thing you might check into is JPS Health
http://www.jpshealthnet.org/
If you live in Tarrant county you can apply for it.
Its a county insurance provided through John Peter Smith Hospital network. They have several locations.
You can apply for children and adults there.
They base it off your income and if you qualify
its good for 1 year. I rather have regular health insurance that I could go to 1 Doctor but its better than no insurance.
They have a co pay for medications and Dr visits.
There is a womens center in Arlington and center for Dr visits, there a Urgent care center and also the main JPS Hsptl in Ft Worth has a Urgent care and ER which I have had to go to and just had a co pay and was covered.
Sorry so long just thought the info might help.
I am SAHM of 2 children 1 boy 10/03 and 1 girl 3/05
we would like to start spending sometime out at Joe Pool lake
so the kids could have some more time in the outdoors and
ride bikes and stuff. But we haven't bought a camper yet and it seems like a lot of money for a camper and not sure where to start. But we like to go sometime. W edon't know anyone that goes. We too also live in South Arlington.
