Does anyone know of a good preschool in the Naperville area (60564 zip 111th and 59th st.s) for my 3 year old in the fall? And do I need to find it and register now?

What can I do next?

My daughter just started going to Chesterbrook Academy (two days a week). It is on Route 59th and one block north of 103rd. I looked at several locations and this seemed to be the preschool I liked the most. Registration for most preschools start my mid January thru mid February.

Good luck!

YES - register NOW or else you won't be able to get her in for the fall session. I don't know where you live, so couldn't make a recommendation, but my daughter goes to our Park District preschool and loves it. Have heard of several churches also offering preschool, so call around. Ask how long their waiting lists are usually, and then you'll know that it is a desired place. Good luck! ~K.

Again, not sure where you live, but my son has gone to Gary Methodist preschool in Wheaton, and we love it. I actually went there as a child, my niece went there, had neighbors children that went there...everyone has loved it. My son will go to their 3 day program next year, and my 20 month old daughter is now participating in their Parents Morning Out program for children 18 mos to 3 years. It is a Christian preschool, they do talk about religion, but not overtly so. It is a play based program.

There are a multitude of pre-schools in Naperville to choose from depending what you are looking for. PACES(local mother's group) puts out a great handbook that lists many of the pre-schools. It tells you where they are, what type of curriculum they follow, days and times they offer, tuition and when registration is. Yes, you should start looking now because for many registration starts over the next few weeks. You can buy the handbook for 5.00 at Anderson's Bookshop(ask at the counter) or Language Stars(in the Gartner Plaza) at Trader Joes.

Hi M.,

I also live off rt 59 & 248th ave. My daughter just turned 3 & I've been looking into pre-schools for her. I've decided to enroll her into Little Blessings(Luthern church) off 103rd & Book Rd. They have a website with a lot of info. They offer a 2, 3, or 4 day pre-school, morning or afternoon. The enrollment is this Saturday at 10:00. ###-###-####. www.littleblessings.org
There is also Zion Lutheran on the the corner of 111th & Book rd. They have open enrollment right now. They offer 2 or 3 day for 3 yr olds. ###-###-####.

Another option is Naperville Montessori School located off rt 59, on Artesian Rd. ###-###-####. I strongly considered this school. It does cost a lot more than the others, kids have to wear uniforms & it's a three hr day program.

What ever you choose it's best to visit the schools with your child. Good luck.

I don't know where you live, but COD has a wonderful preschool (GLen Ellyn). IN fact it goes all the way up to kindergarten.

It is very child-led, experiential, and it is a great place to learn and build social skills.
