i LOVE my new doctor. i wish she would've delived my son. her name is allison gonzalez, she's in SM so she is probably associated with St Johns. her number is ###-###-####.
I'd love some recommendations for a great female OB/GYN that is associated w/ Saint Johns Health Center in Santa Monica. I'm looking for someone with a great bedside manner. I'd be open to male doctor's names as well, but I'd feel more comfortable with a female doctor.

Dr. Bliss at Plaza Tower Obstetrics. She's WONDERFUL. ###-###-####. There's 3 female OB/Gyns and 2 male OB/Gyns and a female nurse practitioner. Love them all. Even the office staff is great.
I'm interested in your question because I'm wondering the same. I gave birth there and will again this Jan. My insurance covers Bay Area medical group which is in the PLaza Towers by St. Johns. It's a group, so some doctors are good (I like Bliss- she has personality- and Trejo), but the one who delieved my son I hated. This time I plan to pay to 'reserve'one of them so that I do not repeat that experience.
Try Dr. Angela Nishio at 1301 20th st. #270.
She's seen me a few times, and she is very nice (and has children which always helps!) I go to Dr. Phillips in the same practice, and he is wonderful too.

I used to go to Bo Thordarson when I had Blue Cross. Now I have Kaiser so I go to their docs. I came to her when I was pregnant & things didn't go so well for me. I stayed with her for a few years. She was an angel to me and a very good doctor as well.

Hi A.,
I highly recommend Dr. Laurie Reynard. She is an OB/GYN located in the East Tower, and I think she is on the 7th floor. She has been my OB/GYN for 12 years straight, and delivered my first baby via C-section last year when I was 41. She is very professional and was there for me every step of the way during what became a high risk pregnancy toward my third trimester. My baby turned out completely healthy and beautiful.
My absolute FAVE - Dr Emily Sikking. Her office is across the street from St. Johns and that is where I delivered. She is the BEST
I second Bo Thordarson, I've used her for years before I was pregnant and she delivered both of my kids. Good luck with whomever you choose....!

Dr. Olivia Crookes with Womens Health Care, UCLA. She is associated with both St.John's & UCLA Santa Monica.
Dr. Toni Long. She is in Santa Monica, just do not know who she is associated with, so look her up. I do not have her number, sorry.
dr. lillian morris in Sta Monica. affilited with st. j and ucla. she is great. tell her jill lewis sent you. ###-###-####. she's brilliant.
Dr. Cornelia Daly. You feel like you are the only one in the office. Doesn't get easily alarmed. Takes the time to answer all of your questions. Great doctor. Had to deal with preeclampsia issues in the first pregancy and she was great! Had to deal with low hormone levels with the second pregnancy and again she was wonderful. You don't wait long in the office, if you do they warn you that she is delivering or such.
Same office as Bo Thoradson (spelling?) that a couple of people recommended. There are about 8 docs in the practice so you can shop around a little if you want, without changing offices.
Good luck and congratulations.
