Hi Lauren,
Check out trianglemommies.com. There are wonderful moms and kids there. They have great resources and wonderful playgroups for all ages and areas (including North Raleigh). Hope this helps.
I am looking for playgroups in the Raleigh area. My son is very friendly and energetic, but he spends most of his days with either myself or my m-i-l, so he really needs some children interaction. He's definately not a loud little man and loves to play with cars and airplanes. We live in North Raleigh near Crabtree Valley Mall.

Lauren, check out meetup.com there are lots of playgroups in your area:)
Have you visited Sertoma Park on Millbrook Rd. (Just up Lead Mine Rd or Creedmore Rd then right onto Millbrook)? There is a lovely play area, Shelly Lake (great hike) and other options. Many parents in the area take their children there to play. You can probably connect with a group or other Mothers there.
sign up at trianglemommies.com That have a calendar of play dates for different sections of wake county. You are bound to find something close to your house and you can pick and choose which ones you want to go to.
I have a daughter that will be two at the beginning of July and she could use someone to play with. We live in North Raleigh near Creedmoor Rd and Sawmill Rd. I also have a son who will be ten in a couple of weeks and a five month old daughter. I could definately use some more adult interaction.
You can Google - Raleigh Meet-ups. They have several and with many members. They meet all over the area and at different times. You have to initially sign up and get approved by the organizer. Does not cost anything.
Good Luck. I take my 18 month old to Little Gym and we are starting Kindermusik. They are great places for interaction, but you have to pay, obviously.
Good luck!!!!
