Seeking Playgroup for an 18 Month Old in the Clinton, UT Area

We are a military family new to the area. Since we purchased a home off base, I am trying to submerge myself into the community...enjoy the "civilian life" for a change. Our daughter is almost 19 months old and I am looking for a playgroup in the area that would be appropriate for her.

What can I do next?

I don't know of one, but would love to join one too! I live in Kaysville and have a 20 month old daughter. I have one friend who has a daughter that is 6 weeks older than mine that I get together with every once in a while, but I feel my child would like new and different friends too. e-mail me if you'd like to start one together!

Also you can get on meetup.com and join the Northern Utah Moms Playgroup. It is $12 for the year and they have lots of activities for the little ones and a monthly mom's night out.

There is also Make Time For Moms which was part of MOPS last year but they went solo this year so that dues could be more affordable. It's once a month and they have childcare for the kids and we moms get to have a nice hour of rejuvination and adult time while our kids have fun playing with other kids their age. It's at Layton Christian Life Center off of Highway 193. I live in Clinton too, also military (air force) My daughter turns 3 in Jan. I know there is a playgroup that meets every thursday on base at the old gym. I haven't been yet though. I watch my nephew in the mornings, and he is 7 months old so we tend to hang out at home in the am.

I just joined the MOMS club of Layton. (I live in Clearfield.) MOMS club has several activities a month, including potlucks, moms night out, playgroups, exercising, and crafts. I know there is a MOMS club for South Weber that you could join in Clinton. I saw a flyer for it at the Roy library (on 4800 S); it might still be there. I paid $22 to join for the whole year.
