Lake Macarrons in Roseville on Rice Street has a Park and Swimming area. I've never actually used it so I don't know what it is like.
We just moved to Como Park and love it, but I don't know much about what there is to do with my kids (other than Como Park and Zoo, of course). Any suggestions?
Thanks so much for all the wonderful ideas! I am so excited to do some exploring this summer. I appreciate all your suggestions, ladies, and hope I can help others out too!

Hi A.,
I too live in the Como area, and I agree with all of the suggestions already mentioned. I am a speech therapist and I work in the schools, so I will be off for the summer. I don't belong to any moms' clubs, but wondering if you'd want to get together w/ the kids to hang out? I have many friends who also have children, but most live in the western suburbs of Mpls., and with the rising gas prices, I'd love to find more to do closer to home. Let me know what you think!
Hi A.,
I used to live in that area but now live in another suburb. I loved living there. I have been in the MOMS Club for quite a while and have made some great friends. There are two clubs in your area. I included both their websites. Good luck!

A., I also live around the como area and i agree with Tamara about Central Park! Its a great park and Lake. Very kid friendly! Let me know if you guys wanna get together and get the kids out to play! :)
You should try Java Train, which is on Pascal south of Larpenteur. They have great cheap coffee, Izzy's ice cream (cheaper than the Izzy's on Marshall), and an outdoor play area with sand and toys. The inside is nice too, with a train play area. You can read and have a nice latte while the kids play! There's also an area outside for dogs with free dog bones and water.
If it fits in your budget get a membership to the Children's Museum. My kids loved it when they were younger and it is a great way to burn off steam on a rainy day. They also have an outdoor play area on the roof. Do they like trains? On Marshall, right around the corner from UST, is a store called Choo Choo Bob's. Although it is a store they also have several train tables set up for kids to play. It is also next to an Izzy's ice cream, although the more expensive one according to one poster on this site.
A., Central Park in Roseville is wonderful. You can walk around the little lake, enjoy the playgrounds and picnic. There is also a small nature center very close to there, but I forget the exact location -- a couple blocks east. We used to live over there and I miss that park!
Check it out!
That is a great question. We just moved to Little Canada which isn't too far from you, and I don't know alot about the area! Have you been to the zoo yet? We were thinking of going this weekend!
