We are new in town and in the country. our 13 months girl had physical therapy before we came here to improve her progress and to ger her to start walking.
we need pyhisical therapy to continue the treatment and exceed her progress.

I guess I am puzzled by your request. Why would your daughter need physical therapy to walk? If you had it before you moved she must have been younger of course. Why would you want to speed up her natural process?
Pressure on her in this way could even slow or halt her progress entirely. Can you enjoy crawling around with her on all fours? Enjoy her process without forcing it. She is developing further the regions of her brain by crawling as long as she may need. Adults with speech and other issues are now going back to learn to crawl because regions of the brain we not allowed to develop through crawling when they were babies. Many were pushed along to walk when they were simply not ready.
My daughter started to walk at thirteen months, quite suddenly. Don't worry... Enjoy her natural process-- her little life unfolding at its own special pace in all its wisdom before you.

hey- I am not sure what your insurance allows or requires, but our youngest daughter, who is 16 mos., is in PT @ Physical Therapy Specialists. They are through Cedars Sinai Medical Group located @ 200 N. Robertson Blvd. (beverly hills). We see Yvette Flores who specializes in pediatric physical therapy. She is awesome. Good luck to you!

I'd suggest that you ask her pediatrician for recommendations, as there's a whole process you probably will need to go through to get it covered by health insurance and or California's early intervention services. There's probably a center that your pediatrician is affiliated with in some way.
that said, I've had VERY positive experiences with the Glendale Adventist "Play to Learn" Center, attached to Glendale Adventist Hospital. About a thirty minute drive for you from West Hollywood, so that's the one drawback!

i don't know of any locations, but at that age physical therapy will be covered by your local regional center ( thru age 3). they will refer you to a location. Unforunately, I am in the valley so i don't have the number for your local regional center. They paid for my son's physical therapy including swim therapy for over a year.

Hello...Im not sure why your daughter would need PT. My son has hydrocephalus and needed PT, ST, OT and Infant Stimulation up until he was 3 years old. The hospital social worker hooked us up with the Regional Lanterman Center in LA. I see somebody alreay suggested them to you. They did wonders for my son. I think they only take kids with medical issues that the state sees that PT may benefit. We had the services at no cost. If you are looking for private care, I have a name and number of the PT who helped us. She was awesome and saw my son regularly til he was about 2 years old. Let me know if you want her number.
