Seeking Pediatrician Recommendation

Hello mamas,

After moving to the area about a year ago, I still have not found a pediatrician that I am thrilled with. I am not picky, just hoping to find someone relatively close to Roanoke whose practice is kid-friendly, who is knowledgeable and doesn't "rush" me when I have questions. I had gotten one recommendation recently from a friend, and while I thought the doctor was fine, my child was not happy there. I've never seen her react so strongly to a doctor's office and so I just want to keep my options open. If you are thrilled with your pediatrician, please send a recommendation. I am grateful!

HI,
I have a two month old son that I take to Dr. Bain in Frisco. Whether it be her or the nurse, they don't rush you at all and are willing to spend plenty of time on questions. I live in Denton, but its worth the drive.

I'm not sure how far Roanoke is from Grapevine Baylor, but I LOVE Dr. Robert. Kids love him too because he is very "cool". I can't necessarily say that I've never felt rushed--but I always go into the office with a list of questions ready, and he has always answered everything to my satisfaction. Is he going to sit there and chit chat? No. But he has a way of making your child feel like his one and only and very favorite patient. I've never met another doctor that has that appeal. I do wish the office had a "sick-child" waiting area, like some of the newer offices do. But I always just wait in the hall outside the office and the staff is more than happy to come out and get you when it's time.
