My daughter is 3 and I'm looking for a great pediatric dentist in Jacksonville. She gets nervous in new situations and I need an office that really caters to young children. Does anyone have a good recommendation?

I am looking at Safari of Smiles as a possibility. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

I think Pediatric Smiles is another you can try.

If no one has said yet, Drs. Setzer & Cochran are great. ###-###-#### in Baymeadows area. Totally cater to children.

I know that you are in Jacksonville...but if you are not too far from Orange Park - Kingsley Avenue - there is a dentist that my daughter goes to and they are wonderful. They are listed as "Weaver, Stratton and Fraser". they have a website -- www.264kids.com -- if you want to look at it. My daughter has had to have ALOT of work done (she's 9 and has had some fillings, teeth pulled and going next week for a spacer) and they are great with her. They are very up to date as well. TVs in every room, fun environment for going to a dentist. First visit is always a "get to know you" visit. They usually don't do any procedure unless they see the child is adapted to them. Hope this helps. =)

Depending on where you are in Jacksonville, we actually go to an OP dentist, because I wasn't happy with those in our insurance plan in Jacksonville. We got to http://www.264kids.com/index.htm and have since my daughter was 18 months. We are actually getting ready for a check up, and they have been wonderful everytime. But if that's not convenient for you, I wish you the best for finding someone who is.

I have recently used Dr. Cochran & Setzer on Bayberry Rd. The office catered to kids and my son, who is also 3, did an excellent job. They cleaned his teeth and took a couple x-rays all while he watched a movie from the ceiling. They gave him sunglasses to wear too because of the bright lamp light. They billed at a little bit of a higher rate than my insurance allows, but I think I only had to pay $7 out of pocket. The staff was very nice.

I was born and raised here in Jacksonville and actually went to Fraiser, Sratton and Weaver (the pediatric Dentist Danielle also recommended) They have been around a while, obviously, and are absolutely fantastic. My son who is also 3 will be going there in next couple of months for his first visit. Best in Jacksonville in my opinion. I know a handful of other mothers who feel the same : )

My son started going to the dentist at 1 and he is now 2 and able to walk in the back alone with the dentist. He goes to Fraiser, Sratton and Weaver. They specialized in children denistry and are really good!!!!!!!!!!!
