A.P.
Hi A., you didn't mention if you are active in any of the home school enrichment programs around the various counties.
For me personally, home schooling has been wonderful. I didn't start off doing this though, I had my daughter in P. school for the first three and a half of her schooling years. When I realized she was having some problems in various areas, I got brave and decided to go ahead and home school. I have never regretted the decision.
I have found that when meeting other home schooling families, the parents are always much more involved and invested in their children's lives and the kids seem happier and well adjusted.
I would urge you to join several organizarions which will steer you into the many choices availabe for you as well as group meets and park play days. Please go over all of the websites until you find places and things that are near to you.
I can't stress how wonderful and informative the upcoming convention in central Florida is. If you can somehow make it, you will be surprised and encoraged at all the knowledge and confidence you will get from the many vendors and lectures there. You will find information on the FPEA website that I have listed below, along with many others. DOing online searches and calling around, you should be able to find others with which to share. There are many of us, and the numbers keep growing.
Best of luck to you, you are doing the right thing!
Hope this helps.
