The Orthopedic doctors at Rush are excellent. I'll admit that I am biased b/c I work there, but they are the orthopedic medical staff for the White Sox and the Bulls. Experts in teh field and very accessable.
I am hoping to get some recommendations for a good orthopaedic sports doctor in the northern Chicago. My husband is in his mid-30s and still likes to play sports, but the pain in his shoulder is preventing full enjoyment, not to mention the excruiating pain felt after he's done!

My husband recently had shoulder surgery and wouldnt go to any other doctor than Dr. Mark Bowen at Illinois Bone and Joint Institute (http://www.ibji.com). He is the best and is also the Bear's & Blackhawk's surgeon. If he wants to be fixed up well, go to him. My husband has also had other surgery's by him as well and has refered his friends there as well .... yep, I also have the maniac husband that likes to play sports!

years ago I saw Dr Padromas or Pedromas in Glenview on Lake St. Not sure if he is still there anymore or not.

I highly recommend Mitchell Goldflies, MD. He has helped me for years, starting when I was pregnant with my first child. His practice is in Sports Medicine, and he also works on some professionals. Also, there is a great PT firm in his building. His office is at 6445 N. Central Avenue.
