II am looking for someone who can occasionally babysit my 4 year old boy. I only need it when my husband is out of town and I need to go to office for meetings, etc.. The frequency will be a few days everying 1-2 months. I will send him to your home, and bring drinks/snacks/toys that he needs. I can pay $5/hour. It would be great if you are living close by Villages of Woodland Springs.

What can I do next?

I don't know who would work for below minimum wage which is $7.25. If you find someone let me know please, I live near you but all my sitters get $10 for one and $12 for two kids.

I run a babysitting service. The avg sitter charges $12/hr one that has experience and certifications like CPR etc.. I would never leave my child with anyone without that!!!

You might find some a little lower like 9/10 but usually those are less experienced or younger (like and 18-20 yo)

Like the mentioned belo min wage is $7.25/hr so it is hard to find it cheaper than that. Playtime hourly is 8 or 9 hr.

I'm not sure you can find daycare for that price... but Adventure Kids is great for drop ins. My 4 year loves it there! I think they are $7.50/hr. You can call them. Their website is www.adventurekidsplaycare.com. They have one location in Parker Square and one in the HIghland Village shops as well as other locations throughout the metroplex. Best wishes and God bless!

You could try www.care.com We have found great sitters there, but the starting rate is a little higher that $5/hr.

My daughter, who graduated from TAMU Corpus Christi last Dec, is staying with me in Keller for the next 30 days. I'd recommend her, but then you'd be right back where you are now when she moves out-of-state. Send me a message if you get desperate and need a short-term solution. I know there's a drop-in care center in Southlake Town Square, near Nothin' But Bundt Cakes - or there used to be. And I think I just saw a new one somewhere close-by . . . but can't remember . . . maybe just past Calloway's Nursery on 1709 (?)
