Hi K.,
I used Dr Imbody at Dayton OBGYN in Miami Valley Hospital and he is wonderful. He always made me feel comfortable and is as nice as can be. They also have an office in Centerville if that's closer to where you are. Good luck!
I am pregnant, very early on, and so excited to find a new Obgyn. The doctor I have previously seen is retired. I would like to deliver in Kettering. Any suggestions on a great Obgyn? Thank you!!!
I want to thank everyone for taking the time out to help me with such an important decision!! Everyone had such helpful responses!! This website is such a great place!

I completely agree w/Jo. Dr. Horlacher & Wood, Dr Guy & the midwives, and then Dr. Imbody....but nobody else in his group....2 doulas w/the same opinions, go figure! I'd also add that the one Paschiano (I probably spelled it wrong) has a new office in Beavercreek as well. If you have the option, please consider birthing @ Family Beginnings. @ least go tour there and compare. Your 2 most important decisions will be who you choose to attend you, and where you choose to give birth.
Blessings!

I highly recommend Dr. Stephen Guy and Margie McCarthy and Lisa Mix, who work in Vandalia and at Miami Valley Family Beginnings. As a first time mother, Dr. Guy supported my natural vaginal birth (no medication, no c-section) with a breech baby girl. Although we were not able to be at Family Beginnings because she was breech, so had to be at Miami Valley labor and delivery, Dr. Guy was wonderfully supportive throughout. Also I highly recommend Amy Chavez if you're looking for a doula (and I wouldn't do it again without a doula, personally.) Amy is a wonderful doula and massage therapist and childbirth educator. She brings so much to support families in the pregnancy and birth process. I saw her throughout pregnancy for massage, which was wonderful. And I can't say enough good things about Dr. Guy and Margie and Lisa. Good luck and congrats!
Hello, Dr William Dorsey and Dr Trisha Pachiano are great doctors. They are across from the Dayton Mall and deliver at Southview hopsital. I have seen a doctor named Dr. Kedrin Vansteenwyk and LOVED her. She had taken a teaching postion so I am not sure where she is now. If she is still practicing she is wonderful! I have also heard great things about Dr Lori Hemmelgarn. Dr Hemmelgarns husband is also a fertlility specialist at Kettering Hospital(Dr Burwinkle). Hope this helps! Best wishes!!!
Hi, I go to Dr. Buckreus in Bellbrook, his associate Dr. Hemmelgarn is too very good. They deliver mostly at Kettering but do go to other hospitals. Dr. Buckreus has delivered all three of my children and his office staff is very nice too.
art altman at the kettering physician building. I think he also has another office somewhere else. I adore the man!
Dr. Horlacher is the best!
Congratulations!!
I got pregnant and was new here to the Dayton area and I went to Dr. L. Lindquist. She was absolutely wonderful and very thorough. Her NP Paula was just as wonderful. It was my 5th and unexpected pregnancy and I was terrified (our 4th was only 4 months old). Thy were so incredibly supportive. I was never rushed. They took their time to listen and answer all of my questions.
They are just on Paragon Rd. in Kettering and I delivered at Kettering.
Dr Dale Drollenger (spelling of name may be off) He is in Centerville and is the only doctor I would recommend. He is the only doctor in the practice so he is the one who delivers and sees you. The staff is wonderful and I have recommended him to several people who in turn have recommended him. ###-###-####...yes I have it memmorized after four children!
I would suggest Dayton OB-GYN Inc. My main dr. is Dr. Thesing but I have met all but 1 of the doctors there. I like all of them and they have delivered 3 out of 4 of my children. They are at MVH and they go to Kettering also. they have an office in Centerville - across the street from Incarnation Church.
Their number is 937/435-1445.
Best of luck with your new one!

I delivered both of my girls at Kettering Mecdical Center and used the OB/GYN office located in the physician's portion of the hospital. There are three doctors that deliver in the office out of six. Their number is ###-###-####. The nurses there are nice and the doctors have always taken the time to answer my questions. The only downside: During my last pregnancy the office was very busy and occasionally the wait was long. This has been a problem since some other offices stopped accepting CareSource. Congratulations!
Dr. Horlacher and Dr Wood are the awesome and Dr. Guy I do not know if they deliever also at Kettering they are mostly Miami Valley. Kettering has the highest c-section rate. Dr. Imbody is really good to and I know he delivers also at kettering I just am not crazy about every one else in his group. If you have any more questions please feel free to email me.
Congrats
Jo
I would highly recommend Oak Creek OBGYN. They have offices in Springboro, Beavercreek and Kettering and are associated with the Kettering Medical Network. There are a total of 6 doctors...3 male and 3 female. I prefer Dr. Patel or Dr. Leary out of the 6 (both female). They were absolutely wonderful during my entire pregnancy.
