ahhhhhh, do I remember those days fondly....NOT!!!! I had a twin pregnancy almost six years ago that went full term and those last couple months where you are were miserable...honestly, I just had to wait it out. I could feel the contractions too but nothing could be done, they would just come and go. Spent lots of time on my left side like the doctor said with a nice pillow between my legs...letting the babies "rest" on the bed gave me the most relief....that's my best advice, you just got to grin and bear it (and don't be like me and cry at the OB to get them out at 36 weeks!) LOL, thank goodness he didn't listen to me :-)

I'm so sorry. My last two months were on bed-rest because I went into pre-term labor....but then when it was ok to go into labor...nothing! Those stinkers :) It is so hard to get comfortable. Baths helped my back, massages if you can get them from your husband, but much of it is waiting. If you can afford it, get a mani-pedi and do things to pamper yourself. Not sure if you have other kids, but I had a friend help me gather a basket of special activities I could do with my 3 year old that weren't too taxing on me. Be sure to get outside and enjoy fresh air if you can - a change of pace and location helped - even if it was exhausting. Hang in there. It is worth it when you see those two beautiful babies :)

I'm the mom of a preemie and a 37 weeker. Are they giving you anything to help stop the contractions? I was given Procardia and that worked pretty well. Didn't completely stop them but made a huge difference.

Have you been checked for a bladder infection? I had one towards the end of my pregnancy with my girls, I didn't know I had one and it caused pre-term labor.

I was in the hospital 5 times for pre-term labor every time I was put on magnesium sulfate and the one time they tried to give me a pump of another medication and I reacted horrible to it I was so jumpy that I couldn't sleep.

Good Luck!!

I am assuming you are have twins or greater? Are you hydrated? When it starts getting hot you can get dehydrated. Dehydration will give you contractions even if you aren't in labor.

Beyond that I know nothing.
