I would suggest finding a mom's group near you. I am involved in one right now. I live in Antioch and I am a member of the Smyrna Sprouts. We do things all over Rutherford and Davidson County. It has been a good outlet for me and my girls. If you want more information just e-mail me. I hope that helps.
You also might try meetup and search playgroups. I'm in a few and its been such a great way to meet other moms. Good luck :)
I don't know what area you live in, but you should check out the MOMS Club (moms offering moms support). I think it's momsclub.org--or just google moms club!
It's been GREAT for me and my children--have made friends for life through this club!
