Seeking Moms in Albany/Bethlehem Area

I am not right in the Bethlehem area, but I am fairly close, in Ravena. I am always getting together with all of my friends who have kids and we are always looking for another to join. Also, I know that there are a lot of activities here in Ravena for kids and moms, and I bet there are a lot in Bethlehem as well. Check out the library schedule. In Ravena there are two different reading programs that alternate and meet pretty much every day in a different area of town and at different times to accomodate different schedules. I also don't know if you are a Christian or not, but I go to Bethelehem Community Church and there are a TON of young families there and I have met a lot of great friends there. I agree with Francesca. I'm a friend of hers and we have a great time both with the group and outside the group. I'm in the Glenmont area and we usually meet other moms at the park too!

I am a working mom of my 15 month old son and would be interested in getting together. I live in Altamont and can completely emphathize with trying to meet other moms while working full time! It is a challenge to say the least.
I have been considering putting out an ad to get a Moms group started specifically for working mothers because all of the Moms groups I have contacted in this area really cater to stay at home moms, which is great for them, but does not work for a working mom's schedule.
I have also tried to meet moms at my son's daycare, but it is so hard to talk when you are dropping off or picking up and are anxious to reconnect with your baby.

There are some great parks in the area for stroller walks and also some fun kids' gyms.

I live in Glenmont (Town of Bethlehem). Whereabouts are you? Have you ever heard of MOPS? I have been a stay-at-home-mom for 5 years now, and have attended MOPS for 3 of them. It's a great place to meet other moms of preschool (not yet old enough to go to school)age kids. The one I attend is at Delmar Reformed Church on Delaware Ave., and it is just a wonderful group of women. Childcare is provided (although you can also keep little ones with you during the meetings if need be...).
We meet the 2nd & fourth Wednesday morning of each month from 9:30-11:30. We are also meeting for a clothing swap on the 5th Wed. of this month. My name is Jessica, I'll look for you if you're interested!
