I can relate!! I recently came across phoenixmommies.com and it has helped sooooo much! Right now the site is down, but we have a temporary site. Just yesterday, a couple of us met up to get to know each other and let the kids get aquainted. I am a member of MOMS (Moms Offering Moms Support) Club and I love the social network, as well as support and sense of community that I feel through them. I enjoy all the fun activities the club comes up with and arranges. I would recommend looking into a chapter near you. They are divided into chapters geographically, so most activities they do should be near you. Where do you live at? I know what is like just to want someone to vent to and at the time you need it most the only person really you have is your hubby and you would rather have a friend to talk to. I'm a mother of two boys (4 and 2), and when my first one was born a friend kept urging me to join a parenting group. I was apprehensive, didn't want to leave my son in childcare. Finally I joined one, North Central Parenting Group, and it turned out to be the best decision I could have ever made--the classes have taught me a lot, and the friends I've made are mine and my son's closest now. Phoenix is not where you described, but I know there is also one in Scottsdale that has many of the same teachers and benefits that we do. Ask about financial assistance, if that applies to you.
