Hi Mamasource Moms!
Fourteen months ago I had my daughter and decided to quit my full time job and stay home to raise her.
Eight months ago, I decided to start distributing Personalized Music CD's for children. I first fell in love with these CD's 3 years before having my daughter. I figured this was something I could do from home! I have found that I need to participate in craft fairs/tradeshows and various events to reach out to Mom's/Dad's and Grandparents. I do have a website that has downloadable snipets from my albums but I have been the most successful at selling from these events.
So I'm wondering, are you aware of craft fairs or other events that you could share with me.
Also, I'm looking for any marketing ideas, tips, tricks that you could provide that would help me reach other families.
I TOTALLY LOVE this music and whenever anyone hears their childs name sung, they fall in love with the music as well. My daughter and her future are my inspirtation.
Appreciate anything you have to offer.
Sincerely,
P.

Hi P., I don't know if you've ever heard of the open air market on Main Street in Grapevine that runs every Thursday and Saturday from March to November or not, but that might be one possibility for you. Here's the link for further information: http://www.gvmsm.com/. I understand it's relatively cheap (Tables are $10 each. Each vendor can rent up to 2 tables per Market day. Each table is 8 feet long.) and Grapevine usually gets good "family type" exposure. Good luck with your business! I hope you find the perfect marketing outlet for your personalized CDs! N. :-)
You can get great marketing tips by finding an online counselor at SCORE.org. Their time and advice is free for as long as you need. I'm a counselor there myself!
I also teach a class online called: Small Business Marketing on a Shoestring. You can search for it at ed2go(.)com.

Antique malls have little booths you can rent. I was thinking of renting one for my little baby crafts starting up business (there's a nice one in colleyville). get back with me if you'd like to know more.
There is also a Flea Market Fair type thing in Weatherford the first weekend of every month called First Monday. It is HUGE and has TONS of people that go. There is EVERYTHING there from Scrapbooking booths to livestock booths! Good luck!
