I am searching for someone to provide some landscaping services to improve the outer appearance of our home. I love color and flowers but have significant allergies so am unable to spend a lot of time weeding and pruning for upkeep. We are getting married in December and hoping to eventually sell the house and move to a larger one. However as well all know with the real estate market and the economy our plans for moving may take longer than expected. Therefore we are searching for something that will not only help with eventually selling the home, but also be pleasant to what we find enjoyable also. If anyone could assist me with any advice or referrals I would sincerely appreciate it!

I don't know where you live, so I can only recommend the people I know out my way near sugar grove. We have used both Spring Bluff Nursery..they are very good at recommended native plants. Also, when we did some updating a few years ago, we used RLS Landscaping, from Elburn. Rick Splittgerber is a really nice guy and will work with you and your budget.
There is also a new landscaping company in Sugar Grove and I have seen their trucks working around at a few projects in my neighborhood..Collegiate Landscaping. Hopes this helps. Just explain to the people what you want, your concerns and definitely your budget!

I realize that you are looking for landscaping services and I personally do not have one. However, since I do not have a lot of time/$$$ either I've learned a bit on my own. Knock-out roses are disease/mildew resistant, don't affect my allergies, and the dreaded Japanese Beetle don't care for them too much (in my own experience). They do not need to be covered in the winter and come back heartily every year. What more could I possibly want? They are on sale for like 50% off at The Growing Place, which is my favorite place to get roses from. For basic planning, planting and suggestions on placement, I recommend Red Maple Landscaping (Antionio Garcia is the owner) ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. I have used them every year (2x per year) for 6 years and they are ridiculously affordable compared to everyone else I have called. These guys are superfast and unbelievably hard workers.
