Seeking Kennel for 2 Large Dogs in Wheaton Area

I have used Kountry Kennels in Naperville and was pretty happy with it. I had a very attached largge shephard. She did not do well with seperation so that place had the most room for her. However, I found a place called Cathy's Critters. She is a dog walker but she would actually stay at my home, make sure she was walked 2x a day taken out several times AND played ball with her. As well as water plants.

She was only a little more than Kountry Kennels and my dog was MUCH happier!!! If you are interested let me know and Iw ill ocate her number for you. Unfortunately we lost my first baby (my dog) at the age of 12, 2 years ago now. So I no longer needed her services. She really was FABULOUS!

We use a kennel in Downers Grove called The Dog Spot.
I can't say enough about this place. We looked at many different kennels before choosing this one.
They do cage the dogs at night and when they eat. Other than that they are free. It is a huge converted warehouse and an outside totally fenced and grass area.
They don't charge for the "extras" such as more treats or medication. You can bring anything you want for your dogs including dog pillows and beds.
I know it is very hard to trust someone with your dogs.
The first time I kenneled my dog I called almost everyday to make sure he was ok, and they have no problem giving you updates on what your dog is doing.
They have webcams that you can access to check on your dogs, and only people who have a password can access the webcams.
We take him there now for "daycare" and he loves it.
They will love your dog as their own
As for the staying together, I would talk to them, they are very good when it come to accomodations.

I recommend NOT boarding your pets if possible. They get depressed, tend to stop eating, they can pick up disease from other pets or have to endure listening to constant barking by another dog. If you are on the north end of wheaton there is a kennel 1 block north of North Ave (RT 64) on County Farm road on the East side of the street. Its been awhile since I have been there because my dog died but the owners are good people and they keep the kennel clean.
