I need to move my children (ages 3 and 6) out of their current day care facility asap and I am considering enrolling them in Mill Creek Academy in Law'ville. Does anyone have any knowledge - good or bad - about the facility? Or, can you recommend other good/safe/clean day care facilities in the Law'ville area? HELP! Thanks!
Thanks to all for the info! I used the Bright Start website to do lots of research about the day cares in my area - it is a valuable tool!(http://www.sitesearch.decal.state.ga.us/GeorgiaDecal/Publ...) We toured Mill Creek last night and I "interviewed" several of the parents as they came out of the facility and they each provided me with glowing reports so I decided to go ahead and enroll my children at Mill Creek. I feel good about my decision. Thanks again for the advise!
I actually have several friends whose children attend Mill Creek and they love it.
I don't have any experience with this particular day care. But you can check out www.brightfromthestart.com and review every school/facility licensing and inspection reports. This is run by the government agency in charge of licensing and inspections of day care facilites in Georgia.

I don't know anything about Mill Creek Academy, but the other day as I was leaving Publix on my end of town (Duluth), there was a free magazine with a picture of Brenda Wood (11 Alive News anchor) on the cover; the whole magazine was about child care facilities in Atlanta. I brought it home and read through it and ended up throwing it away; I have my own kids covered at the moment but I was curious about what the magazine said. It had centers reviewed and laid out by zip code. Maybe it will have something on Mill Creek or other centers in your area!

We are new to GA, just moving here about two months ago from TX. Our three year old goes to Legacy Academy on Riverside and has adjusted well to preschool. Before we moved, she went to a stay at home grandma-type 'daycare'. The staff at Legacy is great and my daughter is learning so much. Best of luck to you as this is a huge decision!
