One of my friends is adopting a baby from China-they are leaving this Sunday to go there. She will be looking for a licensed inhome daycare provider in her area. The baby will turn (1) this month and she plans to take 2-3 months off work. Anybody have any openings in Feb/March?

What can I do next?

Hi! I'm a licensed provider in Westmont near Cass and Ogden. I might have an opening in Feb/Mar. My home is geared specifically toward infants and toddlers and I only take 4 kids at a time. Does your friend work in this area? It might too far to travel if she lives and works more toward Woodridge.

Also, I do belong to an association that has members in the Woodridge area. Contact me at ###-###-#### and I might be able to refer you to others who might live closer.

Good luck!

Hi!
I am in Woodridge and have a small licensed home daycare. I will have an opening at that time! Please give her my name and number and I can tell her more about me. I was a teacher for 7 years and now I stay home with my children and run a small home daycare!

Have her check with SitterCity.com. It's a national website which pairs families with sitters within a 15 mile radius. I use them and have found three wonderfull sitters. What I really like is that I can check out the applicants and receive background checks on each of them before I conduct my own interview. It's not free, but the cost is really reasonable especially considering the amount of background checks I did through them within the first two months. What I also like is that I can read each applicants profile and be as picky as I want. They also have to list referrals, and after they work for someone on the website they usually get rated. It's nice to have that feedback when looking for someone to come to your home and spend time with your kids. I hope this helps.
