Hello- I have 4 active boys (13, 10, 6 & 3 years old) and am interested in local soccer, baseball, basketball sports programs/groups to put my children in. I have searched online and seem to only find expensive programs- estimated $200 for each kid. Are there any local INEXPENSIVE programs (Dallas, 75238) that are out there? Am I just not looking in the proper places or are ALL programs pretty much going to cost this much? With 4 boys at $200 is too much for my budget & hopefully some other parents out there can help me find a better deal or have suggestions that can help. Thanks for reading and all responses.

and the prices are pretty reasonable and there is a wide variety classes for most age groups.
I am not sure where you have been looking, but I believe that most YMCA programs would only be about $75, which usually includes a t-shirt which would be their uniform. Possibly the older kids teams may choose to buy uniforms, but when my kids did YMCA sports they didn't have to buy a uniform. Also, UPWARDS is a great program that is offered at churches. I think the only program near you would be at First Baptist Church Garland. They only charge about $70 and that includes a uniform. You may have to buy equipment like shoes, gloves, bats, etc. But you would not need to buy real expensive stuff and they could share some of the equipment. All you should need for soccer is shoes and they have soccer shoes at Academy for for less than $20.

they have free programs at library.. check it out and ask the neighbors instead of going on line go to a soccer club find out about if you work there or volunteer will they give you price off

Our 3rd Annual UW Sports Camp "Beyond the Gold" is coming up July 16th thru 20th! The camp is open to ages 4-12 and the following sports will be available:
Basketball (boys and girls)
Football (boys only)
Soccer (boys and girls)
Cheer (girls only)
Team 45 (boys and girls ages 4 & 5). Team 45 will teach your little one the basics of throwing, catching, jumping, running and other basic motor skills.
The cost for Sports Camp is just $60. Camp is Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm. Each camper will receive a "Beyond the Gold" t-shirt and a daily snack. You will receive a confirmation letter with more camp details once you register.

I'm doubtful that you'll find programs that are under $200 in Dallas area, think about it - if the program last 8 weeks and met twice a week for 2 hours, that's only $6.25/hr. You'd pay a babysitter more and they aren't going to be teaching your child a sport.
Maybe seek programs offered through church youth programs...seems like they would offer summer softball or similar options and the price would probably be lower or maybe even free.
