Hi Mamas!

My 2 1/2 yr old finally gave up his beloved pacifier (hooray!) and now I would like to preserve them as a 'keepsake'. I know that they 'bronze' baby shoes but do they 'bronze' pacifiers?!! LOL

I am trying to think of something creative that will keep forever. He was so attached to those darn things!!!

Thanks!

So What Happened?

Thanks so much for all the wonderful ideas! I like the shadow box and the build -a- bear ideas. Not sure if I want it 'visible' or not.

And Yes PATTY K. - I am serious!! Maybe you didn't have a child attached to a pacifier (or did) but it seems I am not the only 'crazy' one to want to do something with it!! Didn't ask for opinions, just advice...

I don't know if you thinking of an idea that keeps it visable or not? A friend of mine took her daughter to build a bear and they put her beloved paci in a bear of her choice! I thought it was an adorable idea.

You can buy acrylic resin paperweight kits and set it in that...there are also companies online that will preserve different object this way.

We put ours into a shadow box display along with other "baby items", that hangs in our living room. They have been in there about 5 years and no problems to report.

I don't know, but I love that idea! I had a beloved paci as a child, still remember it fondly.

I just want to know how you got him to stop taking them! LOL My 2 year old is VERY attached to his "Mimi" That's what he calls them. I guess I haven't tried hard enough for him to give him up but to me it's the last thing that's keeping him a "baby" Don't want my little man to grow up! LOL

Congrats on your son giving his up and hope you can find a way to preserve them!

How about getting one of those shadow box frames and gluing them in the shape of a heart (or maybe his initial, if the heart's too girly!)
