Seeking Ideas for What to Do with Numerous Craft Projects

My son just completed his first year of preschool and I am already overwhelmed with all of the cute crafts he completed. I do not want to keep them all, but I am trying to plan ahead and come up with some sort of way to keep or remember the best ones. I am looking for some suggestions to minimize the paperwork, but keep memories of his growth. Thanks in advance for any ideas on this.

What can I do next?

I have and am still in the same boat. I have kept everything from both of my children's schools and I we now have stuff over 5 yrs old. I resorted to getting some very big plastic containers for both of their artwork. It isn't deep (4-5") but is long and wide enough for unusually large artwork. I label the back with the date, year and child's name. I am still in the sorting process, but eventually things will have to go.
A really good friend of my husband and myself had a wonderful suggestion for me to omit clutter from the house. She said if it's really important, keep it. If you just want to remember it, but don't want to keep it, take a photo and place it in an album with notes about the picture.

Good luck.

Take pictures of your son's art projects and put them into a mini-photo album or scrapbook. Keep a couple pieces of his best artwork and recycle the rest!

One thing that I do is keep a folder for the crafts that I am really impressed with and date the craft. I also send many on to family members, grandparents, aunts and uncles.... I have a bunch of big envelopes and stamps so that it is really easy to put together. My son loves to walk down to the mailbox to send things off to Nana or whoever. My family love to get the artwork since they do not see him very often.

I cut up some paintings and glued them to the front of plain white cards to send to relatives -like as Thank yous or THinking about you, etc. Others I've hung up on walls, windows, doors, or sent to relatives. I kept just a few memorable ones and recycled the rest. Hope that helps!

I have been reusing them for birthday, thank you and just saying hello cards for family and friends. We write on the back and talk about what she is doing.
