Definitely give 211/United Way a call - if they can't help you, they publish a huge directory of organizations that might be able to help.

Try contacting your township trustee. Generally they have services where you can apply for assistance. Also, try calling 211, First Call for Help. They may be able to direct you to community programs and churches that will assist with payment.
This site may have some info: http://freefamilyresources.com/id16.htm
Try Catholic Charities (St. Bede's helped us out with ours, but we're in Lake county). PRC through Job & Family services may be able to help also, but that can take up to a few months to process.
Does Cuyahoga co. have 211? If so, call them and they can tell you who to try.
Good luck.
Try contacting Consumer Protectection of Greater Cleveland located 3100 Euclid Avenue. Here's a 1-800-282-0515 number you can also try. Try Cleveland Department of Aging ###-###-####, Cuyahoga County Dept. of Senior and Adult Services ###-###-####, CEOGC at 1839 Prospect Avenue, it's the HEAP office and a Miss Lewis may be able to help.###-###-#### Ext.261. If you can't reach her call back and listen to the prompts and make your selection. Also "211" is first call for help and they may be able to assist you with other resources to try.

First I would try your local church's for help. Then I would go to your human services agency and apply for emergency assistance. They can usually help you out once a year especially when you have children in the home. You may be eligible for more assistance than you know.Everyone goes through hard times now and then so don't be to proud to except it.
Debbie
also try Heap. they are good. they help out alot.
I'll pray for you & the kiddos.
Most larger churches have a ministry that can help you out. There will probably be a form to fill out & then you wait for approval-sometimes this can happen all in one day.
A good place might be Salvatiom Army, Or call t=a =the company they made know uf someone. There;s a place here in Cincinnati called the Jordan Center. They so many resources to help.
I am not positive but I have been told that if the utilities are aware of special needs in your home they make some exceptions to prevent disconnect. perhaps a payment arrangment or something.
call the Salvation Army in your area. they should be able to help u or guide u in a right direction. i believe the number u want is for "FirstCall FirstHelp Hotline" i hope this helps.
you need to contact your Town office and inform them of the problem. If you are a member of a church let your pastor/priest know the circumstances. Even if you aren't a member of a church...call your local churches and ask for assistance. Then start attending the church.
Call the water company, they should be able to tell you.
