I'm more concerned about class size, program cuts, and teacher's keeping their jobs than about what the cafeteria serves these days. I send lunch with my child.

I do not let my kids eat hot lunch except maybe once or twice a month, the stuff I send from home is way better for them.

I would love for them to have fresh, locally grown foods in school! GCISD But, I too usually send my kids lunches so I know what they are getting and that they are at least getting fruits/veggies that I know they'll eat on a regular basis. School lunches offer veggies/fruits, but the kids don't always choose to get them so...
