Hallo ladies,

i look for a "afterbirth" care provider for me and my baby.
Someone who could help me with householding and my other 2 children (3 and 2 years old).
Some kind of nanny for 1 or 2 weeks. Any suggestions ?

Do you live near a college... maybe put an add on the college website.. they could help after they are out of school each day.. they could help with the wash.. maybe help with dinner.. or just play with the kids.. it would be good if they were going into teaching.. or something like that.. it would be good for them... and good for you too..

You could try a postpartum doula. Check out www.dona.org to find someone in your area.

The hospital that you had your baby do they have a caretaker program? I know that Valley Hospital does. There are post-partum doulas as well. You may want to contact Real Birth in NYC if they of any. I had birthing classes there and someone recommend someone for me. I was feeling overwhelmed with only one baby and a hubby who had 2 months paternity leave.
